With another exciting year at IFA completed, Yale is providing a round-up of the biggest news the brand shared throughout the event
Berlin, September 19th: The grand return of IFA 2022 in Berlin from September 2nd to 6th was an exciting time for Yale. During the event, the leading provider of smart home security solutions treated journalists and industry experts in attendance to announcements and demos of many new products, partnerships, and integrations.
Interoperability was a recurring theme for all of the announcements, as Yale continues to provide its customers with smarter, more connected products that improve the running of their daily lives.
Speaking about IFA 2022, Thomas Moser, Senior Vice President & Head of Yale and Smart Residential EMEIA said “As the leading provider of smart home security solutions with over 182 years of security expertise, we are committed to offering our customers convenience for the busy every day. To achieve this, we are placing interoperability and security at the forefront, and this is evident in the new products and partnerships we have showcased at IFA. We are excited about our upcoming launches and providing a superior user experience to our customers!”
New product announcements
Firstly, Yale announced the launch of its new Smart Storage range which will feature a Smart Safe and Smart Cabinet Lock. The entire range is fully controllable through the Yale Access app and the Smart Safe can be used to store away all kinds of valuable items, while the Smart Cabinet Lock can help parents childproof their home by keeping little hands away from dangerous cleaning supplies and medicines.
Also announced at IFA was the new range of CCTV Kits, allowing customers to protect their homes, gardens and outbuildings all year round thanks to weatherproof cameras with clear live-streaming around the clock and instant motion notifications.
Rounding up the latest product offerings from Yale, is the new range of accessories for the Sync Smart Home Alarm. These new accessories will help toprovide consumers with a better level of protection, not just inside their home, but for their entire property thanks to new outdoor accessories.
New product integrations
Keeping with the theme of interoperability and in the interest of constantly updating and improving its flagship smart home products, Yale introduced new integrations between the Linus® Smart Lock (and other Yale Smart Door Locks) and the Yale Smart Alarm (Sync and SR) range. Eliminating the risk of false triggers, the alarm will now switch off the moment the door is unlocked using Linus®. The integration will make sharing home access with trusted individuals like dog walkers or visiting family and friends simpler as the alarm won’t be set off when they enter. This is the kind of convenience Yale is committed to providing to its customers. For added comfort, the Yale Indoor Pan and Tilt camera will go into private mode the minute the alarm is deactivated, putting consumers in full control of their privacy within their homes.
Strategic partnerships are key to Yale as they offer consumers an enhanced user experience. At IFA, Yale announced its partnership with Somfy, the specialist in connected equipment for the home, allowing customers to manage their Yale smart lock, such as Linus®, through the Somfy TaHoma app, as well as create scenarios for a customised smart home experience.
Finally, Yale has announced a new partnership with DHL eCommerce Solutions Sweden, the global logistics company, to enable Yale smart lock users in Sweden to experience secure and monitored in-home parcel delivery thanks to the new Yale InHome service, which will be launched in several major Swedish cities by the end of the year. In-home delivery services are just one of the five verticals that make up the Yale InHome platform. A revolutionary service that allows trusted service providers controlled, insured and secure access into consumers’ homes.
